Woodstock: Joni Mitchell

Being sick, I need comfort food in any form but most especially in music. The songs today are like tea, dry toast and chicken soup.

Classic Joni ... I still remember when Woodstock was a 'happenin' thing' during my misspent youth ... I wasn't at Woodstock, but one of my roomies went ... I think he's still there ... this is a great song, just like 'Big Yellow Taxi' ...

Funny how everyone seemed to have attended Woodstock. If everyone who claims had been there, the gate would have been enough to eliminate world poverty and cure cancer. I guess we all wish. Old Joni is the best Joni. She continues to be a true artist, but songs like this and "Big Yellow Taxi" will be her legacy.

Richard,
I was in the Peace Corps and had to read all about Woodstock from there. Joni wasn't there either but wrote the anthem for it anyway.

Dan,
I have a friend who said he was at Woodstock, and I just accepted what he said though I understand about the millions who claim to have been there.
