This is a beautiful song, well written and sung, but very poorly recorded, even for its time. It must have been done on a very small budget. Funny that you mention the Juice cover...it, too, was poorly recorded, considering the technology of the day. Maybe the "purity" of this song comes from the rawness of production. Both are brilliant, and poignant.

This is another song I remembered well, but I had to find out about Merrilee Rush as I knew nothing. This was her only hit song.
