All your songs today are huge faves of mine; espeically this one. For some unknown reason, the Moodies are under-represented in my CD cabinet in proportion to how much I like them...I should fix that. And do you remember the very short-lived TV show Windfall (2006) about the mega lotto winners? Best quote of the show: If your wildest dream came true, would I be in it?
I too am a very big fan of the Moody Blues. Back with their very 1st American hit "Go Now" in 1964. Then for a couple of years seemed silent, then came out their big album/hit "Nights in White Satin" Some of their songs seem to capture the emotions or feelings that I have experienced and I relate too immensly. I have their Red Rock concert on video & always enjoy watching it over & over. Not to mention almost evey album they have ever produced. Great pick for a song this weekend kat.
In Your Wildest Dreams is the first 45 I bought with allowance money when I was 6. I used to listen to it over & over... until I did something bad one day and my dad smashed it.
Jim, I actually remember the Moody Blues cover of this song. I didn't remember this one. After hearing it, I did a bit of hunting for more information. I figured from what I've read that the Moody Blues record of this had legs; Bessie's didn't.

The Moody Blues are pretty much my favorite music - or at least in that top tier.
The last thing they've done that I really loved was Octave (1980?).
This song is pretty good - but it's not up to the "old" Moody Blues.
If you do not have "To Our Children's Children's Children" and/or "Every Good Boy Deserves Favour" - that should be rectified. ;)

Deb,
I've always been a Moody Blues fan but somehow forgot them along the way. They are also underrepresented in my collection as well.
Scott,
I haven't played the Moody Blues in so long I have no idea what I have. I may have to hunt through the endless pile of CD's.
Thanks, Morpfy
I think it's the first Moody Blues I've posted which even I find a bit odd as I really have liked them from the beginning as well.

fucker.
I have never been able to forgive the Moody Blues for preventing this original from becoming a hit:

Mary,
I never would ever have thought to buy a record when I was six. You were far smarter than I and had great taste.
Fathers were like that sometimes.

Just about any English group had legs, at the time; what 16 year-old Bessie had was soul. I want her version played at my funeral.
Jim,
No question about the soul. It's a great song for a funeral.
