"Can I refill your eggnog for you? Get you something to eat? Drive you out to the middle of nowhere and leave you for dead?"

Today is perfect. The sun is bright and warm, and the temperature is around 60 degrees. I was outside on the deck for the longest time just sitting there with my eyes closed and my face to the sun. It will be a short post today. I want to get back to that sun.

The year goes fast. Soon enough frost will be on more than the pumpkin. My house is already decorated for Thanksgiving, and I'm plowing through catalogs with Christmas in mind. The winter quilt is on the bed making it cozy and warm at night despite the chill. Slippers are my favorite footwear during the day. Hot coffee and my hands around the warm cup are a nightly ritual. I had macaroni and cheese for dinner the other night.

Last week, my sister asked me what's on my Christmas list. I gave her a run down. I know I'll get what I asked for but I know she'll also surprise me with fun gifts. A couple of years ago she gave me the moose eggnog mugs from A Christmas vacation. They always remind me of Cousin Eddie when I use them. She tries to find the worst Christmas movie ever to put in my stocking and usually doesn't pay more than a buck or two for these incredible finds. Last year it was The Nativity. I have no idea where they found those actors, but they were so bad they were almost frightening. I try and outdo her, and I've already ordered this year's movie. I suspect it will be difficult to beat. It's no Jack Frost, the story of the homicidal snowman, but it's close.

I love shopping for off-beat stocking gifts and it's time to get started. I'm just trying to remember where I found the pooping reindeer.

We reached 46 here today and I thought it was so warm and nice :-) No sun though.

So it exists moose eggnogs mugs!! I envy You for them! Christmas vacation is one of my favourite Christmas movies and bought the dvd so I can see it every Christmas. A bit unnecessary since they have started to show it as a Christmas tradition on one channel over here :-)

Outdoors Christmas decoration isn´t that common in Sweden. But there are some homes that does it so much every year that newspapers usually takes pictures of the houses :-) But since it´s so dark here we should do more of it. I would love to have a pooping reindeer :-) :-) :-)

Have a great day now!
Christer.

Kat,
Beautiful here in Michigan, Maggie the Westie has enjoyed a worthwhile walk, quiet time is being spent with Kynaston's Family Britain and I am waiting for the Lions at 4.15 (easy win in Seattle)

Christmas is very much on our mind - buy some more Santons from Fouque ? the Bob CD awaits, there is a drawer full of the weird and wonderful from our travels to fill stockings, a full commitment to an internet festive season with Rocky the Robot the Robot Truck already parked from Wal-Mart. How to deal with family suffering the pain of unemployment, I am not sure....

Meanwhile the delights of Funky Kingston by Toots and the Maytals fill the warm Fall air.

I like those gag gifts the best. Anything to make the day Merry!

Christer,
I love to sip my eggnog from them.

That movie is a Christmas tradition with me too.

Lights are around my fence in the front and back yard. Last year all but one house on my street was decorated with lights for Christmas.

Send your address by e-mail. I'll find you a pooping reindeer for Christmas

Splendid,
I haven't seen it in while and will give the whole thing a watch.

We have such fun at Christmas.

My Dear Hedley,
I watched the first half of the Patriot then did a few errands to get out in the sun.

When I travel, I fill my suitcase with just because gifts (the ones people get when I come home), Christmas presents and stocking stuffers. I love giving exotic gifts from my travels.

Some of my family will get gift certificates as money is so tight for them. They will be generic, like Visa cards, so they can be used anywhere there is a need.

Z&Me,
I do too and include several in the stockings I do.
